The Vancouver Canucks are up 3 games to none. They pulled off the steal in St. Louis and are set for the sweep. Even if they don't pull off the sweep, the odds are pretty good that they'll get to the next round.
Only twice in NHL history has a team come back from a 3-0 deficit to win the series, one was the 1975 New York Islanders and the other was the 1942 Toronto Maple leafs. Most statistical experts would say the series is theoretically over....lets hope so.
The best thing that could have happened to the Canucks was Mats Sundin Getting hurt. We do not need his so-called playoff experience. Mats Sundin is not even a point per game player in the playoffs (74 pts in 83 games) not bad for a normal player" but he's not supposed to be normal is he ?, he's supposed to be a superstar, but when did he win the cup? When did he single handedly dominate a game?
His presence seems like more hinderence than help. Since the first day he joined the Vancouver Canucks things have been different.
The team slumped when he first arrived, they continued to slump until Sundin was put on the third line.
The biggest problem that I have with him being on the third line is that........Third liners are supposed to skate hard and hit harder and maybe every once in a while score a goal or two.
I'm having a hard time with the Taylor Pyatt thing. He's going through some extremley tough times and nobody deserves what he, and his family are going through.......but I don't think he's a good fit for the Canucks now or ever, Vancouver is perfectly fine without him.
He's kind of like Mats Sundin, just in a younger mans body, Both players are slow and don't know how to use their size properly.

Evidently there is a number of poorly educated individuals that frequent this lonely site. How can anyone in their right mind believe that the Canucks will get past the second round? Yet alone get to the cup?!! Ya Luongo is a factor but after that the likes of Burrows and Ohlund make less of an impact than a rotten stinking, reaking fart pushed out with little effort at center ice by Matts Sundin. Hope you guys wake up and smell it!
ReplyDeleteHow are the Olilers doing in the playoffs?
ReplyDeleteNot sure how far they will go, but as a solid canuck fan that never falls off the wagon, I hope the Vancouver Canucks can at the very least make it to the finals if not take the Stanley Cup. By the way, when was the last time the Canucks took the Stanley?
ReplyDeleteOilers suck! But still love them!
ReplyDeleteSomehow the Canucks end up playing a very young and inexperienced hockey club in the second round. This match up relieves many of the local hockey fans as they think it improves the Canucks chances to make it past the second round. Wake up and smell Sudin's hockey gear fart. Chicago in 6. :P
ReplyDeleteGod Bless the Oilers! How did they end up with Ex-canuck management? This scares me alot. :(
